The Swiss will be jailed for overheating houses in winter to a temperature above 19 degrees. This is reported by RIA Novosti. The residents of Switzerland, who violate the government guidelines this winter by overheating their homes to temperatures above 19 degrees will face fines and prison sentences of up to three years, confirmed Markus Spurndli, spokesman for the Ministry of Economy, Tuesday.

"Violations of a country's supply law are offenses or even crimes and should be prosecuted by default by the cantons," he explained to reporters.

According to the publication, in the case of a willful violation of the principles, a sentence of up to three years in prison can be imposed. Even in the case of negligent violation of these measures, a fine is possible.
