Lithuania's losses from the embargo on imports of food products to Belarus will amount to at least $100 million a year. Such a  figure was announced by Zenonas Buividas, head of the Lithuanian National Association of Road Carriers. He pointed out that Belarus buys Lithuanian food for 13 million euros a year. Other products delivered to our country from other EU countries through Lithuania amount to 90 million. In order to get an idea of the total losses of our northern neighbors from the trade war they have launched with Belarus, one should also take into account the possible termination of transit. The potash fertilizers, as well as other goods  are  transported by railroads of Lithuania and arriving in the port of Klaipeda. It is difficult to calculate the exact amount of losses, but it is by no means less than half a billion euros.
