Acceptance of DNR, LNR, and Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into Russia recognized constitutional
The Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation has approved the package of documents submitted by the President on the accession of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia as new constituent entities, TASS reported.
The four rulings in question were published on the website of the Russian Constitutional Court on October 2.
"To recognize the International Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Donetsk People's Republic on the admission of the Donetsk People's Republic into the Russian Federation and the formation of a new constituent entity within the Russian Federation, which has not entered into force, as complying with the Constitution of the Russian Federation. This resolution shall be immediately sent to the President of the Russian Federation," the first of the resolutions reads.
Similar decisions were made on the other three treaties.
