The sanctions war with Belarus turns Lithuania into a logistic deadlock, reported Baltnews portal. The transit of goods and turnover with eastern neighbors is steadily falling in the Baltic country because of the unfriendly policy. Not only large companies, but also ordinary businesses engaged in cross-border trade suffer. This month, the Lithuanian association of cargo carriers said that carriers will lose about 100 million euros because of the food embargo on Belarus. The Baltic republic is getting increasingly isolated. The Lithuanian business wouldn't mind having business relations with its eastern neighbor, no matter what politicians do. However, the Lithuanian authorities are not interested in it. It is more important for them to observe the sanctions against Belarus to their own detriment.
