Polyanskiy: Russian Armed Forces targeted an arms hangar, not a shopping center in Kremenchug

The target of the Russian armed forces' strike was a hangar with Western weapons, not a shopping center in Kremenchug, Ukraine. This statement by the Russian side was made at a meeting of the UN Security Council. The meeting was convened at Kiev's request. As Dmitry Polyansky specified, the strike targeted a warehouse with Western and American-made weapons and ammunition - in the vicinity of the Kremenchug road-building machine plant.

Dmitry Polyansky, first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN:
These weapons were meant to be transferred to Donbass, where these weapons would have been used to fire on residential buildings. The Russian strike helped prevent that. I would like to remind you that by supplying weapons you are prolonging the agony of the criminal Kiev regime, which is ready to sacrifice the Ukrainian people, and the sooner you understand this, the sooner Kiev will sit down at the negotiating table from realistic positions rather than phantom ones.

Polansky also accused Zelensky of using the Kremenchug fire as an excuse to request more Western arms.

The West keeps pumping weapons into Ukraine

Meanwhile, the German government has published for the first time a list of weapons sent to Ukraine, as well as a plan for further deliveries. The list includes air defense systems, reconnaissance drones, multiple launch rocket systems with ammunition, 30 antiaircraft self-propelled Gepard systems, as well as seven Pantsir howitzers.

These systems, according to the agency, are among the most modern in the world. The range of the howitzer is up to 40 km. Six more units of this equipment will be sent to Kiev by the Federal Republic of Germany together with the Netherlands. In addition, a comprehensive assistance package for Ukraine will be discussed at the NATO summit in Madrid.
