Poland extends ban on visits to border zone in violation of its own Constitution

1 декабря 2021
The state of emergency in Poland, which prohibits journalists and human rights defenders to work in 183 communities bordering with Belarus in Podlaskie and Lubelskie voivodeships, cannot be prolonged under the Constitution, but Poland is going to do that. The Duda regime intends to continue not to allow the press into the area bordering on Belarus. The head of the Polish Interior Ministry, Mariusz Kaminski, imposed a three-month ban on the presence of outsiders in the area, where the state of emergency had previously been in force.  The commandants of border zones and outposts will be able to block at their discretion any activities of the press and human rights defenders. Journalists will face arrests and fines for disobedience.
