Passenger cars traveling out of Belarus are most numerous in the Polish direction. The main problem is irregular acceptance of cars by the neighboring countries. The "Brest" checkpoint can pass 1,700 cars a day. At the same time there is a queue of about 250 cars on their way out of our country, because the Polish side fulfills the norm only by 30%. There were even days when border guards of the neighboring country didn't work for a third of a day. The Belarusian customs and border guard authorities repeatedly informed the leadership of the neighboring side about the slow clearance and non-routine operation. There has been no response.
One of the possible reasons for such behavior is a deliberate provocation for the visa-free regime for foreign citizens established by the Belarusian side. It is no secret that the long waiting in the queues to and from Belarus can discourage people from visiting our country. The problem will soon be partially solved by the norms of the Decree No. 280, signed by the President, which will amend the document "On the system of electronic queues". But even this measure will only partially solve the current situation. Full elimination of the problem depends on the rhythmic work of the neighboring side and its fulfillment of the norms on the acceptance of cars.
