Trump's ex-national security adviser: We spend $2.5 million an hour for Ukraine

The European leaders are afraid to openly name the cost of rebuilding Ukraine's infrastructure. As reported the American Conservative, the amounts have already been calculated, but are hidden because politicians fear the outrage of their own citizens. The newspaper suggests that Europeans may decide that Ukraine's democracy is not worth such an investment especially considering the rise in inflation in Europe itself. The fact that the Ukrainian issue is not worth the current investment is also discussed in the United States.

According to recent polls, Americans have become even more supportive of Republicans after they promised to "stop giving money to Ukraine and direct it toward improving life in the country" if they win elections.

Joseph Keith Kellogg, Donald Trump's former national security adviser:

It's the 253rd day of the war in Europe. Its status is unknown, we have no plan to end it. We haven't discussed it. All we're doing is splashing out money at it. We've invested $18 billion into the war, including economic, humanitarian and military aid. Those are big numbers. But let's break them down by the hourly rate. That means we're spending $2.5 million an hour in Ukraine. That's American taxpayer money and without any accountability.

The ex-advisor added that the he Kiel Institute for the World Economy did a study and found that America pays twice as much as all the other European countries combined. "I think the President and the Republicans, if they take Congress, should go and explain to the American people why we're doing this, why we're in Ukraine and whether we should be in Ukraine," Joseph Keith Kellogg questioned.
