The Baltic States continue to attack history. The mayor of Vilnius called for the demolition of six monuments to Soviet soldiers in the Antakalnis cemetery. The country's largest burial site for Lithuania's liberators is located there. The memorial was created in 1951. More than 3,000 soldiers of the 3rd Belorussian Front are buried there. The soldiers died in the summer of 1944 in the battles for the liberation of Vilnius. And this is how Lithuania repays them today.
