The West's hysteria is also understandable. The situation with Protasevich is a good reason to shift the focus away from their own problems. In Lithuania the Belarusian oppositin topic is brought to the forefront. In Vilnius, two interesting political meetings were held at once. The first was organized by the "fugitive junta", and the second one was held by the internal Lithuanian opposition. The first event was organized in the city center, with expensive equipment, a huge screen, and a local variety show. It was observed by the police, having cordoned off the area in advance, so that there were no "undesirable" guests. At the same time, the rally of internal Lithuanian opposition, to put it mildly, was thrown into a "gravel pit."
The Lithuanian opposition stands for traditional family values and for restoration of the rights to elect the ex-president of Lithuania Rolandas Paksas to the state bodies, which was forbidden by the Sejm of Lithuania, in spite of the fact that the courts of all European instances demanded it.
