Anniversary of Belgrade bombing: who launched the war crime under the pretext of humanitarian mission?

24 марта 2022
This day is inscribed as a black page in the history of mankind. On March 24, 1999, NATO, led by Washington, launched a monstrous action to exterminate the Serbian people. The attack was disguised as a humanitarian mission! People who survived the bombing of Belgrade say to this day: "We saw death at that moment. 14,000 bombs and missiles in 78 nightmarish days."

People appealed to the world community for help, marking themselves with inscriptions: "We are targets." But far from everyone heard their appeal. The attack on Yugoslavia was only the beginning of NATO's military march through Europe.

Exactly 23 years ago, 19 NATO countries, led by the United States, launched a bloody air offensive against Yugoslavia. Without the authorization of the UN Security Council, in violation of the Helsinki Final Act, they destroyed not only military facilities, but also schools, hospitals, and passenger trains. The perpetrators have dubbed the vile air attacks a humanitarian intervention in the name of human rights, which take precedence even over state sovereignty.

Joe Biden:
I was suggesting we bombed Belgrade. I was suggesting that we sent American pilots and blow up all the bridges on the Danube. This influential senator launched a war crime under the pretext of a humanitarian mission. More than 400 thousand bombs were dropped on the territory of the European country, three thousand cruise missiles were fired, 22,000 tons of ammunition was dropped on the heads of peaceful Europeans. The aggression claimed the lives of almost 2,000 people, including 400 children. More than 10,000 citizens were wounded.

The only European leader who arrived at the scene of the tragedy then was Alexander Lukashenko. Fancy, how the amazed Western strategists whispered then - Is he not afraid?! He was not! He saw too clearly the underbelly of the war criminals and was aware of their vile, far-reaching plans. He was not afraid and threw them a bold challenge confirming the civilized right to live on one’s land, to defend one’s sovereignty.

Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus:
The objective is peaceful settlement of this problem.Andrey Manoylo, political scientist, professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University:
NATO was not fighting Milosevic or Yugoslav troops, it was fighting children. The fact that Alexander Lukashenko came to Yugoslavia at that time, which was under bombardment, is a really brave act, this is the act of a leader. Because many of Yugoslavia's friends, after NATO announced that it would bomb the country, instantly turned away from it, were terribly frightened, hid under their bushes, climbed under the beds and waited for NATO to put an end to Yugoslavia. Alexander Lukashenko was not afraid of this. And this is really the act of a true leader, the President of the country, a politician who understands the depth of responsibility for maintaining peace. Americans, the British and other Western civilizations calculate the well-being and security of their descendants for many years to come, taking into account all aspects. For example, the global warming will inevitably lead to the flooding of London and other coastal cities. For future resettlements, they looked for a pearl in the center of Europe - they divided Yugoslavia into pieces. And the use of cluster bombs and shells with depleted uranium has led to chronic suppression of the immune system of the local population - people die from cancer.

Undoubtedly, the Belarusian land and Ukraine are attractive to them. True, the territorial appetites of the imperialists at that time were reduced by the Chernobyl disaster. But the radiation background comes back to normalcy, and another innovative plan maturates - the development of biological weapons right on the spot. It acts at the genetic level, bloodlessly mowing down the Slavic population. But that was in perspective. And then there were 78 days of lightning action of physical extermination of the Serbian people.

Alexander Vucic, President of Serbia:
23 years after, it is clear how terrible, erroneous, illegal and extremely immoral that operation of 19 NATO countries was. How shameful and stupid it sounds today, that they attacked Serbia because of an alleged humanitarian disaster. As they said, we are preventing the emergence of a new Auschwitz, and this was said by the then German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer, and there were also "collateral damage" and meaningless lies they created. Therefore, how ridiculous it is when they accuse Russia because of Ukraine today! It was not Milosevic and Karadzic who should have been in the dock at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague (they were accused of genocide of Kosovo Albanians), but Clinton and Biden, plus Albright who forced the Serbs to remember the Hitler occupation. They staged the genocide of the Serbs. And then they added the criminal sub-state of Kosovo to the country, from where the streams of weapons, drugs and other harmful elements of instability flow into Serbia.

By a fateful coincidence, former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright died just on the eve of the anniversary of the start of the deadly operation in Yugoslavia. She went down in history for her inhumane statements. For example, about the dead children of Iraq.

- We heard that more than half a million children died as a result of sanctions against Iraq. That's more than Hiroshima.

I think it's a very difficult choice, but we think it's justified.

Andrey Koshkin, military political scientist (Russia)
Since the Korean War of 1950-1953, the United States of America has encroached on the sovereignty of other states more than three dozen times. And, of course, not having a mandate from the UN Security Council, they invaded the sovereignty of Yugoslavia with strikes primarily by their aviation, their allies, and Yugoslavia disintegrated, it ceased to exist as a country. So, having solved issues in 1999, they now condemn the Russian Federation, which holds a special operation in defense of civilians and against Nazism. They condemn this operation and absolutely forget about their actions in Yugoslavia and other states.

Western appetites for foreign territories and resources are endless. This is their credo - domination of the planet. For the rest of humanity, it costs millions of lives ruined. And it is with sorrow and pain that we are forced to contain the vile word "genocide" in our everyday lexicon. This deadly infection has not been defeated and acquires new modern forms - at the moment it is necessary to save Ukraine from it.
