Bulgaria is going to suspend the supply of weapons to Ukraine. This is the result of a heated discussion among members of the ruling coalition in the country. The country's Socialist Party announced that it would quit the government if such supplies continue.

To avoid a political crisis, the Bulgarian authorities decided to suspend supplying weapons to Kiev for the time being. This may not save the ruling coalition from collapse: on the contrary, one of the parties in the government, Democratic Bulgaria, is threatening to go into opposition if the deliveries do not continue. One way or another, the country that used to be one of the most important sources of arms for Ukraine has ceased to be such a source. Bulgaria, along with several other EU member states, transferred 350 million euros worth of arms to Kiev.
