UN data: More than 340 million people worldwide suffer from food shortages

More than 340 million people worldwide suffer from food shortage in the world today. Such data is provided by the UN World Food Program. Since 2019, the alarming figure has more than doubled. Its growth was influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and world conflicts. Experts warn that the number of people living in poverty and suffering from hunger will increase. The UN provides all possible support to only 13 million people in dire need. And even that covers only half of daily human needs. There is not enough funding for the rest.
