The State Border Committee of Belarus has published another fact of refugees harassment in Lithuania. The Belarusian law enforcement officers found exhausted and frozen migrants lying on the ground on October 18. According to the foreigners, in response to their request for refugee status, Lithuanian servicemen used force. They took their money and documents, insulted them, beat them, and treated them like animals.
As a result, Lithuanian soldiers brought 11 people, citizens of Sudan, Yemen, Iran, Nigeria and Mali, to the border line and tried to push them into Belarus. The Lithuanians tried to destroy photo and video materials, stored on the phones of refugees, in order not to let journalists and international organizations get the facts. It is known that the publicity of such methods of refugees treatment is not convenient for Lithuania, Poland, or Latvia.
