Belarusian Alexandra Romanovskaya becomes world freestyle champion in ski acrobatics

Belarusian freestylers are in the top of the news feeds of global information agencies. The sensation in the American Deer Valley was made by Alexandra Romanovskaya.

The difference between the first and the second places was 23.3 points. Alexandra Romanovskaya is a freestyle champion in ski acrobatics!

Alexandra Romanovskaya was congratulated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. “Congratulations on a brilliant victory at the World Freestyle Championships. You persistently and stubbornly went to this result, and the magnificent final leap in American Deer Valley left no doubt: you are the best! This victory once again confirms that a world-class ski acrobatics school has been created in Belarus, which has been training talented young people for decades. I sincerely wish you, the whole team and the coaching staff good health and new achievements!”- says the message.

For the 22-year-old Belarusian, this victory is the main achievement in the adult career. Previously, Alexandra Romanovskaya became the best in the world among juniors twice. A year ago she took the 14th place at the Olympics. Today, our Alexandra bypassed Russian Lyubov Nikitina and silver medalist of the Sochi Olympics Xu Mentao. The Belarusian dedicated this victory to her father, who has a birthday today.

In the men's competition Belarus was represented by Olympic champion of Sochi Anton Kushnir. But he was not able to qualify for the final and took the 8th place.
