Vladimir Bazanov becomes new chairman of association Football Federation of Belarus

This is the main result of the conference, which is taking place in Minsk today. Bazanov replaced Sergei Rumas in this post, who led Belarusian football for eight years. Bazanov is a deputy of the House of Representatives. He has football experience (he headed Brest Dinamo). As noted by the new chairman, the development of this sport in Belarus should be given a new impetus, and the main attention should be paid to youth football.

Speaking about the highest achievements of football, the head of the federation noted that Belarusian fans were waiting for good results from the national team. however, clubs, with the exception of BATE, perform poorly in European competitions. In his opinion, the national team must fight for the finals of the top tournaments.
