Victoria Azarenka has successfully overcome the starting round of the tennis tournament in St. Petersburg. The Belarusian beat Russia's 81st world racket Margarita Gasparyan 6-4, 6-1. In the next round Azarenka will meet with first seeded Czech Petra Kvitova, who missed the start round.
