By Pavel Kaputsky: Belarus’ best coach Viktor Goncharenko has been appointed head coach of CSKA Moscow, one of Russia’s most renowned football clubs and the current champion.
It is under Goncharov’s coaching that BATE Borisov advanced to the Champions League and defeated the seemingly invincible Bayern.
Last season, the Belarusian assisted Leonid Slutsky in CSKA and then headed FC Ufa. Under his coaching, the football club defeated Moscow’s Spartak and Lokomotiv. After Slutsky’s resignation from CSKA, Goncharenko was invited to head the Moscow club. The agreement will be valid for two years and may be extended.
