World's largest private collection of Olympic medals and awards presented in Minsk

Especially for the II European Games, the world's largest private collection of Olympic medals and awards is presented in the capital for the first time. More than 400 exhibits possessed by Russian collector and businessman Vladimir Potanin were delivered fr om Moscow. These are not only medals, but also torches, horns, nominal diplomas and cups. The oldest artifacts are the medals of the first Olympiad of 1896, which was held in Athens. The exhibition consists of 11 modules, each dedicated to a specific year. The auction cost of medals varies from two to 250 thousand dollars.

Minsk became the first city wh ere the exposition was shown publicly. Then the private collection will go on an international tour to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022, and Paris 2024.
