Torch of II European Games welcomed in Bratislava

On the eve the torch  visited Vienna. The well-known Austrian athletes attended the torch handover ceremony, including gymnast Nicole Ruprecht, a permanent competitor of Belarusian women at world cup stages. The head of the Austrian team’s mission, Christopher Sieber, assured that the national team of this country will come to Minsk with serious medal goals.

Christopher Sieber, head of the mission of the Austrian national team at the 2nd European Games of 2019: "This is really a fantastic day and a great moment,  I can say without exaggeration. I was especially surprised by these strong guys on bikes who have already covered several thousand kilometers. I’m not only happy that the "Flame of Peace" relay race has passed through our city, but also because I will come to Minsk in June as part of the Austrian delegation. And now we are doing the final preparations for the important competitions." 

After Vienna, the fire of the Second European Games went to the capital of Hungary Budapest. The torchbearer in this city was the footballer Nikolai Signevich, who won the Hungarian Championship this spring. Today, the fire will be met in the Czech Republic. The "Flame of Peace" will arrive In Belarus, on Sunday.
