Having made a successful start at the Wuhan Open, Belarusian Victoria Azarenka retains chances of advancing to the year’s final tennis tournament. Azarenka defeated American Lauren Davis in the first round, 6-2, 7-6. In the second round match, scheduled for tomorrow, the world’s number 23 will play against Johanna Konta of Britain. In case of success, Victoria Azarenka can face Romanian Simona Halep, who she lost to in the US Open quarterfinals.
