EOC President Janez Kocijančič passes away

Sad news has come from the world of sports. Janez Kocijančič, a great friend of Belarus and President of the European Olympic Committees, died on June 1 after severe disease. Since 2017 he has been the head of the EOC, before that he had been the head of the Slovenian Olympic Committee for over 20 years. It is mainly due to Kocijančič support, that Minsk got the right to host the Second European Games. He believed in the sports potential of our country and always pointed to its highly developed infrastructure. The NOC of Belarus expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Janez Kocijančič.
