Brest’s Olympic reserve center for rowing has celebrated its 10th anniversary with a parade of boats. The event featured the center’s students and graduates - canoeists and rowers - as well as skaters and Nordic walking lovers.

The Brest rowing canal is an excellent base for doing sports. It also offers excellent skiing and cycling tracks.

According to director of the Brest Olympic reserve center for rowing Pavel Denisyuk, more than 6,000 athletes have graduated from the institution over 10 years. This year, the center will host the Baltic Games, which will feature academic rowing and canoeing.

Belarus’ national team rowers, as well as athletes from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine and even Malaysia are constantly training in the Brest waters. In 2018, the canal will host the European Rowing Under 23 Championships.
