Triumph at tennis tournament in China. Aryna Sabalenka becomes champion again

Aryna Sabalenka defeated American Alison Riske in the singles final and managed to defend the champion’s title. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Aryna Sabalenka on this outstanding achievement. 

At the start our titled tennis player had to play with her colleague from the national team Alexandra Sasnovich, after that her rivals were two players from the top 10, including the world's first racket Ashleigh Barty. The decisive match turned out to be hard. The tennis players spent almost two hours on the court. 

Aryna Sabalenka, two-time champion of the tournament in Wuhan: "I can't believe I defended that title. I couldn't even imagine I'd be able to do it. Now I'm just happy. I can't believe this happened. This victory means a lot to me. The year was really hard for all of us. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to defend the title." 

Aryna Sabalenka is the second female tennis player in history to defend her title in Wuhan. 

For Sabalenka, this is the fourth title in the WTA tournaments and the second won in singles this season. In the beginning of the year, Aryna won in Shenzhen. 

On Monday in the updated rating Aryna will rise to a record fifth position.
