The number of foreign players in Belarus’ hockey championship clubs should be gradually reduced, with hockey clubs to be set up at every ice palace. This statement was made by recently appointed Chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Semyon Shapiro in an exclusive interview to the TV News Agency. According to Shapiro, this trend also applies to the further development of Dinamo Minsk - there will be less foreign players in the team.
Conducting ice hockey training for children will become a priority in the strategy for hockey development and preparing a reserve for the national team. Mass skating and other activities will have to be adjusted.
