The Games in Pyeongchang are presented in figures as follows: 92 countries, about three thousand participants, 17 days of intense struggle, 15 sports disciplines and record 102 sets of awards. The Norwegian team won in the unofficial medal standings. Belarus is on the 15th place thanks to Anna Guskova’s victory in freestyle, the gold of women's biathlon relay team and Darya Domracheva’s silver in the mass start.
Darya Domracheva, four-time Olympic champion, was entrusted to carry the flag of Belarus on the traditional march of all participating countries.
The solemn closing ceremony of the Games was held at the Gangwon-do Stadium. This was the moment when athletes stopped competing with each other. Organizers in the ceremony emphasized the symbolism and high technologies. Traditionally, the Olympians of all participating countries solemnly passed through the stadium. The flag of Belarus was carried by four-time Olympic champion Daria Domracheva. PyeongChang Mayor Lee Sok-ra handed the Olympic flag to IOC President Thomas Bach, who handed it to mayor of Beijing, Chen Jining. The next Winter Olympics-2022 will be held in the capital of China.
According to preliminary data, the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games was watched by 300 million people.
