Flame of Peace welcomed in Minsk. More than 2 thousand people gather at State Flag Square

The torch relay of the II European Games reached the Belarusian capital. More than 2 thousand people gathered at State Flag Square. Among them are athletes who will have to perform for their nations in a few days, Olympic champions of different years, singers and volunteers. The live broadcast is conducted by Belarus 5 TV channel. 

The Flame of Peace relay started in the eternal city of Rome, passed through seven European countries and even visited the top of Mont Blanc. Finally, the torch reached the Belarusian capital, where the II European Games will begin very soon. 450 torchbearers passed the fire of the II European Games from hand to hand. These are people who have achieved success in various fields, and glorified Belarus with their work and achievements. This is the Hero of Belarus Darya Domracheva, deputy, Olympic champion rower Alexander Bogdanovich, world and European champion athlete Marina Arzamasova, three-time Olympic champion, wrestler Alexander Medved. 

A big team of directors, choreographers, cameramen, graphic designers was engaged in setting up a festive dramatized concert.

About 2 thousand people are involved in the show, most of them are volunteers of the II European Games. For the guys, this is a kind of big rehearsal before the start of the competition, because they had to work in one team and act smoothly. Top Belarusian performers, the best dance and vocal bands from different cities of the country will also appear on the stage. The guest rock star Joe Lynn Turner, lead singer of Deep Purple will perform at the end of the show.

A live broadcast of the ceremony right now is conducted by Belarus 5 channel. 

Tomorrow, the main symbol of the II European Games will visit the largest industrial enterprises of Minsk: MAZ, MTZ, High-Tech Park and Belteleradiocompany.

The relay will end on June 21 at the Olympic stadium "Dinamo". During the opening ceremony of the Games, the fire will be lit in the bowl in the center of the stadium.

At this moment the ceremony of lighting the fire of the II European Games takes place. The TV version of the ceremony will be shown by Belarus 24 tomorrow at 15:30.
