Flame of Peace continues road to main arena of II European Games

One of the main sporting events of the past week was held in Mir Castle, where the medals of the II European Games were presented. Along with the lighting of the multisport forum torch, this is the central event before the competition. A total of 1,084 awards were made. The medal diameter is 9.5 centimeters, the weight is 540 grams, the thickness is one cm. The production process of one medal takes about 20 hours. Precious metals were used in their manufacture: 24-carat gold and silver.

Meanwhile, the Flame of Peace relay continues its journey to the main arena of the 2nd European Games, Dinamo stadium, where the torch  will be lit.

In the outgoing week, the torch visited famous places in Volkovysk, Novogrudok, Lida, Ostrovets, Smorgon, Vitebsk, ancient Polotsk and the youngest city of Belarus - Novopolotsk.
