It was held in the hands of the director of the Center of Olympic Training Andrei Fomochkin, the champion of the USSR, the master of sports of international class.

The decision to support the Russians was based on disagreement with discriminating punishment.

The act of our Paralympic delegation is now in the TOP of the world's news editions. The opening ceremony had a great resonance, as well as the subsequent decision of the International Paralympic Committee to deprive Fomochkin of the accreditation.

Igor Kanygin, silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Moscow, Greco-Roman wrestling: "I think they are heroes, heroes with a capital letter."

Russia gratefully accepted this resonant gesture of Belarusians. Neighbors thank our Paralympians for their solidarity.
