Olympics in Pyeongchang officially closed

The Olympic Games in Pyeongchang are officially closed. 92 countries, about a thousand participants, 17 days of intense struggle, 15 sports disciplines and 102 sets of medals. The 23rd Olympiad gave fans a lot of spectacular shows. The solemn closing ceremony of the Games was held at the Gangwon-do Stadium. This was the moment when athletes stopped competing with each other. Organizers in the ceremony emphasized the symbolism and high technologies. Traditionally, the Olympians of all participating countries solemnly passed through the stadium. The flag of Belarus was carried by four-time Olympic champion Daria Domracheva. PyeongChang Mayor Lee Sok-ra handed the Olympic flag to IOC President Thomas Bach, who handed it to mayor of Beijing, Chen Jining. The next Winter Olympics-2022 will be held in the capital of China.
