And as early as this week Belarus won the first gold at the Biathlon World Cup Stage 1 in Östersund, Sweden. In the first individual race of the Olympic season, Nadezhda Skardino celebrated victory. For her, this is the first gold medal in her career at the World Cup stages.
Such results are very encouraging, although we should not criticize the results of the rest of the Belarusian biathlonists. The season just started, and everyone without exception is only warming up for the big Olympic season.
The competition in PyeongChang, South Korea, will be more serious than ever, and a number of world-famous biathlonists will fight for the medals.
