Ilya Shimanovich wins his second gold at Taipei Summer Universiade

Ilya Shimanovich won his second gold medal at the 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei, China! The Belarusian athlete won in the 50 m breaststroke finals with a result of 27,39 seconds. Ilya Shimanovich was merely 0,10 seconds faster than the silver medalist – Erik Johannes Skagius from Sweden. The third place was claimed by the German Fabian Schwingenschloegl. Earlier, Ilya Shimanovich won the 100 m breaststroke race. It was a fourth medal for Belarus at this tournament. In addition to two gold medals of Ilya Shimanovich, a silver medal was claimed by Daria Naumova in weightlifting and Pavel Boreisha in hammer throwing. In the medal standings, Belarus is still on the 22nd place.
