For the first time since 2004, Belarus will host the European Championship. After 3 years, the Race of Legends returns to the Raubichi sports complex. Fans have a unique opportunity today to meet those who have repeatedly climbed to the Olympic podium. For example, the Belarusian-Norwegian duo Daria Domracheva and Ole Einar Bjørndalen won 12 gold medals at the Olympics. The biathlon festival has not yet started, but the crew of the TV News Agency is working in Raubichi.
By this moment the master class of the biathlon stars has completed. 21 athletes who will participate in the Race of Legends have held a conference for the finalists of the Snow Sniper and the Cup of the Belarusian Biathlon Federation.
Until 16:30 the biathlon legends will be signing autographs. At 17:00 the opening ceremony will be held. At 17:50, a mass start among women is scheduled. At 18:15 men will perform in the same discipline. After half an hour there will be a mixed relay.
Among the participants are Simone Hauswald, Florence Baverel and Frode Andresen as well as Daria Domracheva, Nadezhda Scardino, Alexander Popov, Elena Zubrilova and others.
The award ceremony will be held at 19:30. The most touching moment for the whole Belarusian biathlon will be seeing Daria Domracheva and Nadezhda Scardino from great sport. For two, these girls won 20 medals at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships.
