Sochi Olympic freestyle champion Anton Kushnir gave the first interview after he was misjudged in the qualification.
When trying to reach the finals, the Belarusian was placed 11th after the first attempt. Although many athletes and freestyle experts admit that the jump should have led Anton in the decisive round of the competition. In the second attempt, the Belarusian increased the difficulty and performed the jump just as convincingly but the judges' scores put our athlete in the seventh place that did not allow reaching the final.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent a complaint to Head of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach about the refereeing against Anton Kushnir. The Belarusian Ski Union appealed to the International Ski Federation with a complaint about the refereeing and the request to admit the athlete to the finals. The answer was negative.
