Diego Armando Maradona plans to take an active part in the life of FC Dynamo Brest so that the club entered a new level of competition already in the near future. This was announced by the legendary Argentinian athlete during the official press conference, where Maradona was introduced as the new Chairman of the Board of the football club Dynamo Brest.

A week ago, Maradona signed a three-year contract with the club in Abu Dhabi. Diego Maradona said that he will work in this position for the first time in his life.

Diego Armando Maradona, the Chairman of the Board of FC Dynamo Brest:

"For me, this is a new experience and a kind of a challenge, a new challenge that I accept. I have gone along way from a little boy who dreamed of playing football and had to travel a distance of 5 km from home to a sports school in order to train hard and go to my dream. I am looking forward to being able to start my duties in this new position. I'm not going to lock myself in the office – I will work together with the team at the stadium and I'll give Dynamo all my best to help the club become more competitive."

The tasks facing Maradona include issues of strategic development of the club and interaction with all structural units, including the children's academy of Dynamo Brest.

Diego Armando Maradona, the Chairman of the Board of FC Dynamo Brest: "First, you need to look at those who are at our disposal, see the strengths and weaknesses of Dynamo. In the future, you can be strengthened by signing players from the UAE, Italy, and Argentina. Of course, Neimar and Messi are too far from our level, but I have no doubt that Dynamo will be able to put together a great squad."

The new Chairman of the Board will start working with the club right after the FIFA World Cup.
