The award for fair play was given to the four-time Olympic champion by the International Biathlon Union on the basis of voting of athletes who perform at the World Cup. They were impressed by the noble gesture of the Belarusian in the pursuit race in Antholz. Before the finish Domracheva accidentally stepped on the ski pole of Italian Dorothea Wierer. Daria did not try to overrun her and took the third place.
