The athletes who returned from the third summer Youth Olympics say that the competition in Buenos Aires has motivated them to continue their work. The celebration was held on the instruction of the President of Belarus at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee. The awards were presented to the young Belarusian medalists by Minister of Sport and Tourism Sergey Kovalchuk and Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Andrei Astashevich.
Out of nine medals at the Youth Olympiad, two golden medals were taken by judoist Artem Kolosov, in a personal and team tournament. Anastasia Shkurdai won silver in swimming, Ivan Brynza - in academic rowing and Elizabeth Dorts – in shot-put.
