Belarusian hammer thrower Ivan Tikhon has won silver at the 2016 European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam, his result being 78.84 metres. Another representative of Belarus, Sergei Kolomoets, took the 6th place.
So far, the Belarusian national team has three medals - Tatiana Kholodovich’s gold in the javelin throw, Ivan Tikhon’s silver in the hammer throw and Alina Talay’s silver in the women's 100-metre hurdles.
Belarus is currently at number 12 in the overall team standings.
