Handball federations of Belarus, Lithuania and Poland plan to jointly hold the men's European Championship in 2026. The parties are going to send an application to the European Handball Federation. Today, a press conference was held in Minsk, where representatives of handball structures expressed a desire to hold the major tournament. The winner will be announced in 2021.

Poland hosted EHF Euro 2016 and has established itself in the best way, which should also have a positive effect when considering the application to the European Handball Federation. Another plus is the geographical location of the countries. In Belarus, matches are planned to be held in Minsk and Brest.
