Belarus’ Hanna Sola took gold in sprint at the third stage of the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria. She had a perfect score on both shooting ranges without any penalties and as a result no one was able to displace her from the first position. This is the third podium of the season for Sola. In Sweden, in a similar race in Östersund, Hanna occupied the third position and won silver in the women's relay. A Pyeongchang's Olympic champion, Dzinara Alimbekava was the 8th in the final report. She missed only one shot.
Anton Smolski takes bronze in men's sprint
The program of the third stage was opened by men. For the first time since 2016, the Belarusian biathlete reached the podium. Anton Smolski took the bronze medal. The Belarusian overcame both shooting ranges with sniper accuracy and thanks to his high speed, he managed to finish in the third place, having lost 20.5 seconds to the winner, German Johannes Kühn. And that's an excellent bid for success in tomorrow's pursuit race as well. The live broadcast will start on Belarus 5 at 14:05, and we're looking forward to the women's relay at 16:05.
