Belarus wins 1st medal in Pyeongchang! Anna Guskova becomes Olympic champion in Ladies' Aerials

Belarusian athletes have won their first medal at the Olympic Games in PyeongChang! Anna Guskova became an Olympic champion in ski acrobatics. She passed the qualification on the first try. She was the best in the first finals, reached the superfinal with the fourth result and won the competition.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Olympic champion Anna Guskova on winning the gold medal, as well as on conferring of the title of Honored Master of Sports and the Order of the Fatherland of the 3rd degree. The Head of State expressed his gratitude to the entire coaching staff of the national freestyle team.

Together with coach of the team Nikolai Kozeko, Anna Guskova has already made her Olympic Choice: 15 thousand rubles will be transferred by the President's Sports Club to the Republican Center of the Olympic Freestyle Reserve in the new complex on Surganova Street.

When performing the most difficult jump among all participants, our aerial skier Alla Tsuper landed unsuccessfully and became the fourth.
