Andrey Stepanov leaves Belarusian ice hockey team camp

Andrey Stepanov has left the Belarusian men’s national ice hockey team camp – he has posted about this on Instagram.

Dave Lewis, the team’s head coach, said he would have a discussion with the training staff as to whether they should include the forward in the national team.

Stepanov was the team’s top scorer at the 2016 IIHF World Championship. Last season in the Kontinental Hockey League, he played 56 matches and scored 31 points. This is the best result among Belarusian athletes.
