Alexandra Sasnovich has started her Grand Slam series at Australian Open with a confident victory. The Belarusian tennis player – WTA’s No. 5 – defeated Christina McHale from the US, 6:3, 6:2.
In the next round, Sasnovich will face the winner of the match Mirjana Lucic-Baroni vs Shelby Rogers.
Also today, another Belarusian athlete, Arina Sobolenko, will face Australia’s Ashleigh Barty, WTA’s No. 18. The match will kick off at about 14:00, right after the match with the participation of Roger Federer.
