А. Lukashenko: Belarus is ready to host the UEFA Super Cup

Belarus is ready to host the UEFA Super Cup. This initiative was voiced by President Alexander Lukashenko at today's meeting with the head of the Union of European Football Associations, Aleksander Ceferin.

At the end of each summer, the trophy is contested by the winners of the two most prestigious tournaments on the continent - the Champions League and the Europa League. In the course of the working meeting the parties discussed the program of implementation of various UEFA projects in Belarus. Our football receives not only substantial financial, but also educational assistance. Since 2008, almost 600 coaches have been trained in special courses. However, the lion's share of support for sports is provided by the state and the whole program is being implemented for this purpose.

UEFA intends to develop cooperation with the Belarusian Football Federation.
