The implementation of joint projects with Stadler seriously raises the image of Belarus. President Alexander Lukashenko discussed the work of the plant in Fanipol with the owner of the Swiss company.

The Head of State considers the investment project implemented near Minsk to be successful. The President thanked Peter Shpuler for the fact that one of the factories of the concern for high-tech products was located in our country. Stadler Minsk is the most modern plant of the Swiss network of companies, which has 20 divisions around the world. For several years, about 90 million Euros have been invested in the Belarusian enterprise. Today at the meeting in the Palace of Independence, new trains for the Minsk metro were also discussed.

Products from the conveyor in Fanipol are supplied not only to the EAEU market as originally planned. According to Peter Shpuler, trains are built for Norway, Hungary and Slovenia. Trams are produced for Bolivia. It is planned that this year about 350 cars will leave the assembly line in Fanipol. This is almost a twofold increase in a year.

According to Peter Shpuler, Belarus is a very attractive country for foreign investors and he advertises us as a production site at every opportunity. So, on the recommendation of the head of Stadler, a Belgian investor is discussing with the Belarusian side a joint project in the field of production and sale of fertilizers.

In addition, Peter Shpuler announced plans for cooperation with the Osipovichi plant. Stadler will assist Belarus in the sale of domestically produced freight cars to the markets of Western Europe. The first negotiations have already taken place.
