The peculiarity of bilateral relations is that "the countries never set preconditions for each other." Partnership rests solely on friendship and trust.

Alexander Vucic leads the country for the last 3 years and shares our President's concern on international agenda and partnership development. One-on-one talks were held in a warm, friendly atmosphere and lasted longer than planned.

The meeting ceremony of Alexander Lukashenko at the Palace of Serbia begins with the anthems of two countries accompanied by an honor guard.

The Presidents had talks 3 times this year: in China, at the 2nd European Games and now. The dialogue defined the perspective points for growth and development with the focus on economic cooperation.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that the countries would bring relations to a higher level, including in trade, which will lead to an increase in goods turnover and investments.

Serbia signed an agreement on a trade free zone with the EEC. Special attention was paid to the tools of banking support for trade operations of the countries during the negotiations. The parties confirmed their readiness to consider joint projects aimed at expanding the foreign trade operations of Belarus and Serbia, including using documentary settlement forms. In the presence of the Heads of the States agreements on opening correspondent accounts in various currencies between the Postal Savings Bank and Belarusbank were signed.

A wide package of documents was signed. The amount of contracts exceeded $ 100 million. New projects of MAZ, BELAZ, Belarusian chemical and metal products companies are being awaited.

The Presidents shared the details of their negotiations with reporters. Their atmosphere was predictable. The assistance was unanimous on all issues.

In 1999 Belarus supported Serbia, when it was bombarded by NATO. That didn't pass unnoticed. Alexander Vucic, President of Serbia:

“We bought a lot of Belarusian-made cars: for our fire services, for the mining industry. In the future we will have tenders, but we are always ready to look for ways to give preference to you under equal conditions. I urge Serbian companies to supply their products to Belarus..."

Belarusian-Serbian relations are at a new level. Alexander Lukashenko invited his counterpart to pay an official visit to Belarus at a convenient time. Relations between our countries have passed the test of time. Innovations, digital technologies, a dozen joint research projects will be developed.
