Session of Supreme State Council of Union State to be held in Minsk

Alexander Lukashenko will meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State will be held in Minsk today. Despite the fact that there are dozens of issues on the agenda, it is expected that the whole spectrum of bilateral relations will be discussed ranging from the economy to the coherence of actions in foreign policy. In the near future, the arrival of the Russian leadership is expected. The delegation includes both Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, chairmen and representatives of both chambers of the Russian Federation Parliament. The meeting in such a format, of course, is an opportunity to discuss the state of bilateral relations.

Over the past year, the commodity turnover between the countries has grown and exceeded 32 billion dollars. Thousands of links connect Belarus and the regions of Russia. During these years, we were able to establish dialogue and trade with almost all subjects of the federation.
