Alexander Lukashenko sets new objectives for parliamentarians

While opening the 5th session in the Palace of Independence, Alexander Lukashenko raised the issues of the national budget for the next year. The head of the state demanded that the budget was modest. Starting next year, the Belarusian economy will be operating within the Eurasian Economic Union, which was initiated on May 29 in Astana. The leaders of troika agreed to create a common energy market before 2025.


During the previous two years about 200 legislative acts were signed. Dozens of international documents were ratified. The fall session will begin on October 2. The deputies are preparing amendments to oil legislation and Education Code.


Alexander Lukashenko stressed that socially oriented policy will remain unchanged. He urged deputies to handle the problems of simple citizens. One of the principle problems is privatization of property.


The Belarusian parliament is also going to restore its function of an invied party to the PACE. The development of political contacts should result in economic advantages.


The new agenda of the parliament includes over 60 bill related to modernization, innovations and drawing investment.
