President: We look forward to peace in Europe

The military-political situation and the NATO activity at the borders of Belarus became an occasion for a conversation of the President with the Security Council and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. Such activity at our borders is not a threat. We are not afraid of anyone, but there is a precedent, the fact of the presence of heavy armored vehicles at our doorstep. Belarus must respond. And the answer has to be adequate. 

Given the importance of the topic, the conversation with the military was held behind closed doors. The main thing is that the reaction will be adequate. It's not just the military component, but also a number of information and diplomatic measures.

As for military cooperation with Russia, next year the parties plan to revise the plan of application of the regional grouping. It will be changed in a view of the situation.
