27 января 2015

By Sergei Gusachenko: The President’s communication with the media has become an annual tradition. However, this year the usual format of a press conference will be replaced with an open dialogue in the Palace of Independence.

The event will feature 260 journalists from 238 media sources. Almost half of them represent Belarusian regions - more than 100 newspapers, 13 local television stations and 30 radio programmes. The list also includes representatives of 16 non-governmental media.

Over 30 journalists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, the UK, USA and China have been accredited. The potential audience is estimated at tens of millions of people. The range of questions usually covers different areas: the economy and foreign policy, housing and social benefits, finance and sports.

The open dialogue will be broadcast live on the First Channel of Belarusian Radio and Belteleradiocompany website tvr.by. A TV version of the event will be aired on Belarus 1, Belarus 2 and Belarus 24 in the evening.
